اسلم محمود، جو اپنے قلمی نام اسلم محمود سے جانے جاتے ہیں، کانپور (انڈیا) میں پیدا ہوئے اور وہیں مقیم ہیں۔ وہ سائنس کے گریجویٹ ہیں لیکن ان کا دل اردو ادب اور شاعری سے وابستہ رہا ہے۔  تین دہائیوں سے مشق سخن اور ادب کی خدمت جاری ہے۔ ایک مجموعہء کلام " بے کنار" فخرآلدین میموریل کمیٹی لکھنئو کے اشتراک سے شائع ہو چکا ہے نیز ہندو پاک کے موقر رسائل و جرائد میں جن میں شب خون سر فہرست ہے شائع ہوتا رہا ہے۔ شعری نشستوں اور گاہے گاہے معیاری و مخصوص مشاعروں میں شرکت رہتی ہے جن میں اردو پریس کلب انٹرنیشنل اور تحبیب جیسے ادارے اور تنظیمیں شامل ہیں۔

Aslam Mahmood, known by his pen name Aslam Mahmood, was born and continues to reside in Kanpur, India. A graduate in science by education, his passion has long been rooted in Urdu literature and poetry. For over three decades, he has remained an active and consistent voice in the realm of Urdu poetry. His first poetry collection, titled "Be-Kinar", was published in collaboration with the Fakhruddin Memorial Committee, Lucknow. His work has appeared in prominent literary journals across India and Pakistan, including the renowned magazine Shabkhoon. Aslam Mahmood is a frequent participant in literary gatherings and select poetic symposiums, having performed at prestigious platforms such as the Urdu Press Club International, Tahbib, and various other cultural forums, where his poetry continues to resonate with audiences and critics alike.
