عاطف توقیر (پیدائش: 23 جولائی 1979) ایک پاکستانی صحافی، شاعر، ادیب، وی لاگر اور میڈیا ریسرچر ہیں، جو اس وقت جرمنی میں مقیم ہیں۔ وہ صحافت، ادب اور ڈیجیٹل میڈیا کے میدان میں اپنی بےباک رائے اور سیاسی و سماجی مسائل پر دوٹوک مؤقف کے لیے جانے جاتے ہیں۔

انہوں نے کراچی یونیورسٹی سے Political Science میں بیچلرز اور Mass Communication میں ماسٹرز کیا، جبکہ 2012 میں جرمنی کی University of Bonn سے International Media Studies میں دوسرا ماسٹرز مکمل کیا۔

ادبی منظرنامے پر ان کی موجودگی 1990 کی دہائی سے رہی ہے، تاہم انہیں وسیع پیمانے پر اس وقت پذیرائی ملی جب انہوں نے اکتوبر 1999 میں جنرل پرویز مشرف کے مارشل لا کے پس منظر میں اپنی معروف نظم "شکریہ" لکھی۔ یہ نظم پاکستان میں فوج کے سیاسی کردار پر ایک کڑی تنقید تھی، جس نے انہیں اردو ادب میں ایک نڈر آواز کے طور پر شناخت دلائی۔

Atif Tauqeer (Urdu: عاطف توقیر), born on 23 July 1979, is a Pakistani journalist, poet, writer, vlogger, and media researcher currently based in Germany. With a career that spans journalism, literature, and digital media, his voice stands out for its fearless engagement with political and social issues.

Tauqeer holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a master’s in Mass Communication from the University of Karachi. In 2012, he earned another master’s degree in International Media Studies from the University of Bonn, Germany—reflecting his deep commitment to critical media analysis on a global scale.

He emerged on the Urdu literary scene in the early 1990s but gained widespread recognition in October 1999 with his powerful and politically charged poem "Shukria"—a bold critique of military intervention in Pakistani politics in the wake of General Pervez Musharraf’s coup. His poetry often explores themes of authoritarianism, religious extremism, and civil rights.
