Shaji Haneef

Born in Ponnani, in Kerala’s culturally rich Malappuram district, Shaji Haneef is the son of P.V. Muhammad Haneef and Sara of the esteemed Kodambiyakkath family. A multi-faceted literary and cultural figure, he is based in Dubai, where he plays a vibrant role in the arts scene.

Educated at New L.P. School, A.V. High School, and MES College in Ponnani, Shaji began his professional journey as an Assistant Manager at a private firm in Muscat. Today, he successfully runs his own businesses across the Gulf and India.

A prolific writer, his published works span multiple genres, including poetry, short fiction, memoirs, and travel narratives. His major publications include:

Shaji Haneef has represented India on global literary platforms, including the International Poets’ Conference in Indonesia. He has also ventured into filmmaking, contributing to critically acclaimed short films such as:
